About the Photographer:
I have three beautiful daughters, Alyssa, and twins,
Hailey and Kaelyn and a wonderful husband, Eric. I am a
geological engineer, but my true loves are my children and
photography. My dream as a child was always to attend art
school. However, a family of engineers and a knack for math
landed me in engineering school instead. Now my
artistic side finally has an outlet through my photography.
About Two Views Photography:
Why TwoViews? I am both an artist and a mother, and each
brings a different perspective to the art of photography.
Have you spent a hurried, frustrating hour at a photo studio
trying unsuccessfully to cajole your child into traditional poses?
As a mother, I have been there. I bring the parent’s
perspective to photography by offering you a relaxed, playful
session in my home studio or a location of your choice.
Creative posing is one of my specialties, but what happens in
between poses? Lots of magic! And I will record it beautifully for you with unexpected candid
portraits along with all the more traditional poses as we work together to create with your
family. And in the end, you will see the light in your child shine through in each photo. Every
child is beautiful, and I hope to capture your child’s beauty— even the “little” things, like a
quirky grin, wrinkly toes, tiny nose, making your “little” things big memories.
I have always had an interest in photography, but the true passion wasn’t born until the birth
of my first child. I began watching my little girl change right before my eyes, from innocent
newborn to curious infant, then active toddler to sassy preschooler, and now beginning
school and still full of personality. There were many rushed trips to chain studios, unduly
stressing both my daughter and myself and often resulting in tears. The alternative was the
traditional, very expensive studio that was not economically feasible to visit as often as we
would like to capture the swift changes of childhood. As a result, I began striving to learn and
perfect my own photography skills to render those images myself. I wanted to record each
minute detail, every little personality quirk, and celebrate through photos the little person
growing up before my eyes.
My skills have evolved from amateur to professional in the five years since the birth of my
first daughter. Now I offer my clients a relaxed and economical portrait experience.
Photography is truly my passion. I pour my heart and soul into each session to capture not
just a picture, but also a personality. I hope my images will not just remind you what your
child looked like at a certain age, but bring you back to the true essence of your child at that
moment.
I thank you for letting me into your lives and feel privileged to transport your little moments to
big memories.
